Nearly doubling the size of an existing historic house in the Berkeley Hills, this new addition cantilevers perpendicular to its steeply sloping site to suspend the new living spaces in the dense oak treetops, floating dramatically above a new lap pool while limiting excavation difficulties on a very challenging site.
